SOCIAL GROUPS

FIVE has a variety of social groups for children and youth with ASD and/or ADHD!

FIVE Behaviour offers a variety social groups. The groups run throughout the year. To get involved or to get on a waitlist for a group email of Family Services Manager: fs.manager@fivebehaviour.ca. Like our Facebook page to get notifications about open enrolment! 

D&D

FIVE offers D&D for 10-13 year olds and 14-17 year olds in Victoria and Westshore. The group has up to 5 participants and is run by an experienced Dungeon Master. No experience with D&D is required, but the ability to participate in a community setting in a small group is required. 

Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Master Social Group:

This group will revolve around planning, goal setting and creative cooperation while planning a D&D game for friends. Maximum of 4 participants in each group to allow maximum interaction between participants and the facilitator. 

Creepy Crawlies Art Social Group

FIVE is pleased to present this mixed media art class for youth and teens. The goals of this group are to engage with your peers to share your design ideas, collaborate and share in conversation about your shared interests!

Lego

FIVE offers a Lego group for children between the ages of 7 & 9 in Victoria and Westshore. This group has a maximum of 4 children. We have some VERY cool Lego! Ability to participate in a 4:1 ratio of children to staff is required for this group (we can consider adding supports if needed).

Little Artists Crafting Group

FIVE is proud to present Little Artists Crafting Group for 6-9 year olds! Bring your enthusiasm as this class weaves social skills with creative endeavours! 

Magic the Gathering

FIVE offers Magic the Gathering groups for youth between the ages of 10-13 and 14-17. No experience is needed. FIVE provides player decks of youth to keep! The group has a maximum of 5 players. 

Minecraft! 

FIVE offers online Minecraft groups for youth ages 7-9 on our own server space. FIVE provides “keys” to each player to join our group which is supported by one of our Minecraft expert BI’s. 

Monster Mash for Teens

Teens will learn to following instructions provided by professional graphic artist to draw 8 different basic characters (to be completed with personalized embellishments). This group targets executive function skills through character planning. In addition, it develops conversation skills along with descriptive/creative language as participants share what they drew and why they selected to draw their character a certain way. This is an 8-week group with a maximum of 4 participants.

Comic Book Club

Built around comic books, the outcomes of this group include development of reciprocal conversation; formulating an opinion and supporting it with examples; relating self to text through identification of character traits of comic book protagonists; reading for information and inferencing; and, relating text to text – comparing and contrasting story lines and characters in various comic books. This is an 8-week group. There are 4 participants in the group.

PEERS Boot Camp

Program for Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills was developed at UCLA and is the only evidence based social skills program available. FIVE is proud to present PEERS Social Skills Boot Camp as an intensive 2 day program discussing eight important friendship skills. This program is for youth ages 14-19. PEERS was developed at UCLA, and remains the only social skills curriculum that consistently yields positive outcomes for individuals that utilize the lessons taught in the program. A parent or caregiver is required to attend with the participant. This course is taught by Behaviour Analysts.
