David Packard said: “A group of people get together and exist as an institution we call a company so they are able to accomplish something collectively that they could not accomplish separately” – welcome to the FIVE Family, a gathering of individuals that together are making a difference in our community.

My name is Dr. Elizabeth Sparling. I am the Clinical Director and Matriarch (Owner) of FIVE. I think our FIVE family is likely the most talented group of professionals on the Island, so welcome! I have more than 25 years of experience in the field having worked as a Low Incidence Special Education Teacher in the Saanich School District, a Behaviour Analyst at the Vancouver Island Health Authority Provincial Autism Program and various other for-profit and non-profit agencies, before moving solely to my own company. I have a doctoral degree from Royal Roads University. I am also the mother of a fantastically amazing son with ASD and an intellectual disability. I am very excited to be a part of this team!

My name is Lexie and I’m a member of the FIVE family! I’m a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. I am so excited to be a part of this awesome team taking on the roles of Behaviour Analyst and Clinical Supervisor. I’ve been working in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis for 8 years. Over that time I’ve worked with some people who have helped spark my love of ABA.  I’m so looking forward to bringing everything I’ve learned to FIVE to improve the lives, not just of our families, but of our Victoria Community as a whole.

Hello! My name is Whitney. I am the Family Service Manager at FIVE Behaviour Consultation Services and I also work as a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst. I have over 17 years of experience supporting families and children with diverse abilities. I am a level B RASP professional and a parent. I believe in building a respectful and supportive community. I strive to develop creative and playful strategies to make learning fun. I’m thrilled to be a part of the FIVE Family. I look forward to connecting with our team, families and the community!

I’m Alison Sloan and I am one of the clinicians with the FIVE family. I am very excited to be a part of this group of amazing people who strive to make meaningful changes in the lives of others. I have been a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst since 2016, and a Behaviour Interventionist for over 10 years. I love what I do and love supporting the individuals I have the honour to work with each and every day.

My name is Carly McDiarmid and I have just joined FIVE Behaviour Consultation Services Inc. I started working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis 9 years ago as a Behavior Interventionist. I am now a Category B, Behavior Consultant on the RASP, and am currently completing my Masters Degree through Western University in order to obtain my BCBA certification. I have experience implementing ABA with children of all ages, in homes, centres, schools and in the community. My favourite part of working in the field is being able to share my knowledge of ABA to support families with problem solving and implementing ABA confidently on their own. When I am not divulged in all things ABA, you can find me on the soccer pitch, or experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes! I am very excited to get to know each and every one of you in the FIVE family.

My name is Vessela Ivanova. I am joyful and happy (literally the meaning of my name) and am so excited to be part of the FIVE family! I am very passionate about the Science of Human Behaviour or Applied Behaviour Analysis as most of us call it. With more than 12 years of experience in the field, I have worked across Canada in early intervention clinics, supporting educators at schools and providing in-home services! My main goal is to help develop and create meaningful and mindful outcomes for children with ASD or other developmental disabilities. As a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and a Category A Behaviour Consultant on the RASP, I continue to learn and grow with every family requiring my support. I stand for inclusion, diversity and ethical practices!

My name is Julia Nelson, I’m a RASP Behaviour Consultant. I have worked with children and families in various roles for most of my life. I have a master’s degree in Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria, and I have finished the coursework to become a BCBA. I love supporting kids and families to improve communication and help them blossom and thrive.
