David Packard said: “A group of people get together and exist as an institution we call a company so they are able to accomplish something collectively that they could not accomplish separately” – welcome to the FIVE Family, a gathering of individuals that together are making a difference in our community.

My name is Dr. Elizabeth Sparling. I am the Clinical Director and Matriarch (Owner) of FIVE. I think our FIVE family is likely the most talented group of professionals on the Island, so welcome! I have more than 25 years of experience in the field having worked as a Low Incidence Special Education Teacher in the Saanich School District, a Behaviour Analyst at the Vancouver Island Health Authority Provincial Autism Program and various other for-profit and non-profit agencies, before moving solely to my own company. I have a doctoral degree from Royal Roads University. I am also the mother of a fantastically amazing son with ASD and an intellectual disability. I am very excited to be a part of this team!

My name is Lexie and I’m a member of the FIVE family! I’m a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. I am so excited to be a part of this awesome team taking on the roles of Behaviour Analyst and Clinical Supervisor. I’ve been working in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis for 8 years. Over that time I’ve worked with some people who have helped spark my love of ABA.  I’m so looking forward to bringing everything I’ve learned to FIVE to improve the lives, not just of our families, but of our Victoria Community as a whole.

Hello community! My name is Whitney. I am a neurodiverse clinician at FIVE Behaviour & Education Services Inc. I have a bachelors in Psychology and a masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis. I am a BCBA and I am a level A Behaviour Consultant on the Registry of Autism Service Providers. I believe in honouring and celebrating individual strengths while creating meaningful goals based on the learner and family values. I know that learning can be stressful for children, youth, and teens; therefore, I strive to develop creative and playful strategies to make learning fun.

I’m Alison Sloan and I am one of the clinicians with the FIVE family. I am very excited to be a part of this group of amazing people who strive to make meaningful changes in the lives of others. I have been a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst since 2016, and a Behaviour Interventionist for over 10 years. I love what I do and love supporting the individuals I have the honour to work with each and every day.

My name is Carly McDiarmid and I have just joined FIVE Behaviour Consultation Services Inc. I started working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis 9 years ago as a Behavior Interventionist. I am now a Category B, Behavior Consultant on the RASP, and am currently completing my Masters Degree through Western University in order to obtain my BCBA certification. I have experience implementing ABA with children of all ages, in homes, centres, schools and in the community. My favourite part of working in the field is being able to share my knowledge of ABA to support families with problem solving and implementing ABA confidently on their own. When I am not divulged in all things ABA, you can find me on the soccer pitch, or experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes! I am very excited to get to know each and every one of you in the FIVE family.

My name is Julia Nelson, I’m a BCBA, RASP certified Behaviour Consultant. I have worked with children and families in various roles for most of my life. I’ve obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology and then continued to peruse my passion and interest in my graduate studies earning a Master’s degree in Applied Disabilities Studies with Specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis at Brock University in 2016. I’ve been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2019 and have loved every minute of it. I’ve worked in the mental health sector for more than 6 years supporting both adults and children with developmental and mental health diagnoses. I’m so passionate in what I do and I cannot wait to learn and grow on this new adventure!

My name is Kerris De Champlain, and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist at FIVE! I completed my Master of Science in Audiology of Speech Sciences at the University of British Columbia in 2020, during which I gained clinical experience in both school and community-based settings. I am certified by The Hanen Centre to deliver the ‘More Than Words’ training. My approach to intervention is collaborative and family-centred, and I look forward to working closely with children and their families. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, knitting, and spending time with my family and new kittens.
